Vocal Music

The Music Ministry of First Baptist Church invites you to exercise your talents and gifts in reaching
others for Jesus. Children through adults have the opportunity to lift their voices in song through this
Ministry as we lead the congregation in worship.

Overflow (Children's Music Ministry)
Children, 4-years-old through 6th grade have fun while learning about music and how it can be
used for God’s glory through Graded Choirs. The curriculum includes music, lessons in theory,
games, activities, hymn studies, and orchestra studies as well as biblical principles. Graded
Choirs begin in the fall and continue throughout the school year with rehearsals on Sunday
afternoons at 5 p.m. They have the opportunity to participate periodically in the Evening Worship
services and participate in a Christmas and Spring musical.

Worship 360 (Student Worship Ministry)
Students 7th through 12th grades are given the opportunity to excercise their gifts and talents in many
different ways. There is a mulit-track approach to this ministry which involves many areas of
concentration including stomp, band, vocal ensembles, and drama.  These teams lead our evening
worship services and are also invloved in missions and evangelsim in our community, state and
accross our nation.  These rehearsals are during the school year and begin at 4:45 on Sunday
afternoons in the Student Center.

Adult Choir
The most important responsiblilty undertaken by the Adult Choir of First Baptist Church is to lead
our church in worship each week.  The Adult choir not only leads our church in worship weekly but
are active in sharing the gospel with our community.  We provide several special events throughout
the year in this effort including the annual presentation of the Centerton Gift of Christmas and the
fourth of July celebration FourthFest.

The choir consists of church members college age and older and rehearses each Wednesday from
6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the choir room. Childcare is provided for infants through 6th grade.

When you visit a rehearsal you will be given a membership packet that fully explains the ministry of the
adult choir and the responsibilities that are accepted upon joining the choir.
