West Africa is mostly made up of plains less than 1,000 feet above sea level. The spread of a major world religion, commerce and colonialism have brought many outward similarities among the region’s ethnic groups, but language and cultural distinctions remain, and tribal identities are strong.
Great Commission Team
First Baptist Church Centerton exists to glorify God by preaching Christ crucified, so that sinners from all nations might receive the joy of forgiveness and eternal life.
To that end, the Great Commission Team has been created to discern and define appropriate mission’s tactics and strategies, to promote congregational awareness, and to establish the internal processes designed to reach the nations with the Good News.
In so doing, the focus will primarily be aimed to establish healthy churches in places where the name of Jesus is not known, where Scriptures have not been translated, and where other like-minded churches are not already engaged in reaching these peoples.
